FIREFOX SUPER SLOW AND FREEZING PDF
Running Firefox in safe mode seemed to work, but the moment I went out of safe mode and tried to save a PDF file, it froze.
FIREFOX SUPER SLOW AND FREEZING DOWNLOAD
And when I say I didn't touch Firefox, I mean I didn't download any add-ons, or change any settings or do anything more than browse the net. Though it seems a bit much for it to be just a coincidence.
FIREFOX SUPER SLOW AND FREEZING UTORRENT
And I don't get why messing with uTorrent while not touching Firefox would cause a problem in Firefox. UTorrent has the "incoming connections" symbol a warning sign with an exclamation point, though yesterday I got it to show green for a time.though it was still very slow downloading. BUT, like I said - I didn't touch my Firefox settings, only uTorrent's. And then the other day (Wednesday?) same thing, except I did even more with it.and now it won't really download at all. today, I just tried it out again, and it crashed on me (unfortunately, I lost the crash report). The only thing I can think of is that a couple of weeks ago I was having trouble with uTorrent so I messed around with that (and only that), and then since then I've had to exit and restart it with every new download so it will download. Firefox runs slow and freezes up Solved a few months ago, I stopped using Firefox for running slow (with not a whole lot of other programs opened anyway) and freezing. I have tried to restart the computer and no-go. It also doesn't matter if Firefox was relatively behaving before or not. The download/save thing always causes a problem, sometimes the dialog/tab/window thing will work and then it will freeze. Then, when I try try download/save something or open a new window/tab/dialog box, Firefox freezes on me. Sometimes I can still type in a new address or use Google, other times I can switch between tabs and follow links on open tabs, but can't create new tabs or use menus or whatever. Even when it doesn't freeze, it is sluggish and if I ever minimize it to use another program, when I try to get it on top again, the top of the window is from the original site, and half the time the address bar doesn't work. It's a cross-platform issue for recent Firefox versions.Firefox keeps on freezing on me. This is probably caused by Sqlite3 vacuuming delay. I don't mind using Chrome and Chromium (which are stable as rocks on my system), but I have some plug ins on Firefox I can't live without.

All I can do is hit ctrl+alt+backspace and then log out.Īny help to diagnose this problem would be much appreciated. Firefox is now freezing and not really crashing but is slower and mostly. I can still move the mouse, but I can't click on anything on the screen. Is anyone else noticing that this beta is creating an adverse affect on Firefox. I would try running firefox -debug from the command line, but the problem is once Firefox freezes, the desktop becomes completely inaccessible. Sometimes it happens when I haven't even gone to a web page yet, and I just click to open the bookmarks drop down from the menu. I thought the most likely culprit would be video, like when on YouTube, but that isn't it. I tried installing them back in one by one to see if any was more problematic than the rest, but no plug in emerged as a clear candidate. I have tried removing every single plug in I have, and the problem persisted.

Firefox freezes at random times, and when it does, it freezes the whole desktop with it. I am not definitely sure that this problem began since upgrading Ubuntu from 11.04, but that would be my guess.
